Kitchen Renovation
Fieldwork reimagined the kitchen of the historic Harold Davies House by transforming a dark, dated space into a bright, functional, and inviting centerpiece of the home. Bulky cabinetry, worn finishes, and limited flow weighed down the original room. By introducing a clean, cohesive palette with warm-white cabinetry, matte-black counters, soft linear tile, and upgraded lighting, we visually opened up the space and made room for modern living. A farmhouse sink now anchors the window wall, bringing in natural light and framing views of the backyard.
On the opposite side, the old built-ins were re-envisioned as custom navy cabinetry with integrated display shelving, preserving the home’s sense of craftsmanship while significantly improving storage and usability. A butcher-block counter adds warmth and ties the historic charm to contemporary functionality. The result is a kitchen that feels refreshed yet rooted, honoring the character of the Harold Davies House while beautifully preparing it for its next chapter.
