Full-Scale Renovation

This full-scale renovation of a 1957 ranch is guided by a deep respect for the home’s original character and its connection to the surrounding landscape. The project reimagines the interior from the ground up while preserving the elements that give the house its soul.

The scope includes all new flooring throughout, a comprehensive renovation of four bathrooms, and the careful restoration of the home’s original cedar tongue-and-groove paneling. These existing materials serve as both anchor and inspiration, grounding the redesign in warmth, texture, and history.

A natural, restrained palette was developed to complement the home’s beautiful backyard and to allow light and landscape to play an active role in the interior experience. The original cleft slate entry floors remain a defining feature, setting the tone on arrival and reinforcing the home’s mid-century roots. Throughout the renovation, material choices balance durability and tactility, creating spaces that feel both intentional and lived-in.

This project reflects a thoughtful approach to renovation by honoring the past while equally shaping the design for contemporary life.
