A modern bathroom with a large arched window showing snow-covered trees outside. It has white walls, a dark green vanity with a marble countertop, a black-framed mirror, white subway tile on one wall, and a black-and-white patterned floor. There are small framed pictures on the wall, and a potted plant and a small tray on the vanity.

Expanding Bathrooms

Homes built before the 1940s typically featured only one bathroom due to cost and space constraints. However, as life evolved, the demand for additional bathrooms grew. Whether you're planning to age in place or need more space, reconfiguring your floor plan might be simpler than you think. Utilizing space from a kitchen pantry, we transformed a half bath on the main floor into a full bath and relocated the door for better access. Additionally, we optimized the full bath on the second floor by adding another vanity to the unused space behind the door, making it ideal for multiple users.
